May 2024
The Taylor family wanted to modernize their traditional kitchen and fireplace. The renovation, completed in 45 days, involved a full demolition and rebuild, focusing on a new color palette, straight lines, and updated fixtures and hardware.

Demolition Phase
The project began with a complete demolition of the existing kitchen and fireplace, removing old cabinetry, countertops, appliances, flooring, and the traditional fireplace surround.
Design Concept
1. Color Palette: Neutral tones like whites, grays, and blacks replaced the old warm colors. Bold accents in navy blue and emerald green added interest.
2. Straight Lines: The design featured clean, straight lines, giving the space a modern, organized look.
3. Fixtures and Hardware: Stainless steel appliances, brushed nickel faucets, and simple cabinet handles added a modern touch.
Construction Phase
1. Structural Modifications: Adjustments were made to support the new design, including updating plumbing and electrical systems.
2. Cabinetry and Countertops: New cabinetry with flat-panel doors and quartz countertops were installed.
3. Fireplace: The fireplace was redesigned with a linear gas insert and large-format tiles.
4. Lighting: Recessed lighting and modern pendant lights were installed, along with LED under-cabinet lighting.
5. Appliances and Fixtures: New stainless steel appliances and modern fixtures were installed.
